This isn't true; there should be an option to toggle the menu key
on/off on the same menu that you select the menu key on. Just toggle
it to OFF and, although you won't have menus, you'll be able to use
every printable key on the keyboard.

I'm trying the PC+ test drive, and it seems to have some nice features
over 2.4.2. One thing bugs me though, and I'd like to know if there's
a way around it --

I have an old xt-like keyboard (on my z-158) and I LIKE having the
asterisk key below the return key. v2.4.2 maps this to an asterisk, so
I don't have to shift the '8' to make wildcards; but pc+ maps it to some
weird sequence (like <esc>Ol) which does me no good.

Is there a way to undo this?  (Key remapping seems kind of clumsy;
anyway I can't try that unless I buy first). Or is there some good use
for this sequence that I haven't thought of?
