Minimally, DSZ can be run as a stand-alone program - there is a mini-terminal
option in it, but it would not support any terminal emulation (ANSI.SYS maybe).

DSZ is at its best when called from an host communications program - terminal
emulation and fast transfers. For most of my use, I just use Telix 3.11,
which supports Zmodem Autodownload. When you tell the host to send, it
automatically tells the PC to recieve - no operator intervention required.
The terminal emulation does leave something to be desired.

On the host, all that is necessary is to tell sz to send, and tell the
DSZ or whatever to receive.
