[comp.binaries.ibm.pc.d] where's PC Outline Plus?

mrwittma@phoenix.Princeton.EDU (Martin R. Wittmann) (01/15/89)

Who can tell me where I can find a copy of PC Outline Plus, a shareware
outliner/thought-organizer by "Brown Bag Software"? PC Magazine praised
it in its Best of 1988 issue (1/89).

Thanks,

PC Outline Plus has not been released. As of last week, Brown
Bag was saying 4-5 weeks, but they also said this in early December.
Does this have a familiar ring? Last I heard, everyone waiting on the
new PC Tools was being told the same things, and I wouldn't be
surprised if they still were (I've paid, I'm waiting . . .).

As to PC Magazine itself, I know they praised PCO highly in
their review of "Personal Information Managers" (weirdware), and got
the price wrong--it's $195, not $95--but I can't find any reference to
it in their "Best of" issue.

At any rate, PC-Outline (without thesaurus, numerous printer
drivers, and other features promised in PCO+) remains available on
BBSes nationwide and is a great program, so far as I'm concerned, the
most useful outliner for people who don't want to spend the next
several months learning Grandview or Agenda. Oh yeah, and Brown Bag
will *sell* you PCO+ at $195, *send* you PCO with docs right now,
and send you PCO+ when it's available.
Just in time to use it with PC Tools 5.0 and Lotus 1-2-3
Release 3? Your guess is as good as mine.
