[comp.binaries.ibm.pc.d] Connecting a host computer to the Internet

w8sdz@WSMR-SIMTEL20.ARMY.MIL (Keith Petersen) (03/06/89)

I get a lot of requests for information on how to connect host
computers to the Internet. It is quite expensive to connect to the
Arpanet or Milnet.

Now there is an alternative: NSFNET. This network is part of the
Internet and it can reach the Arpanet and Milnet through gateways
which provide both netmail and FTP.

The MERIT Computer Network people can direct you to the proper
contacts. Call them at 800-66-MERIT and see what's possible.
