For whatever it's worth, Steed's partners were [1] Emma Peel, [2] Tara King, [3] Purdy (don't recall the last name) and [4] Mike Gambit. It's been a while ... Diana Rigg played Mrs Peel of course. I believe Joanna Lumley (sp?) played Purdy in the 'New Avengers'. Steed's car was a Bently (I think) in the old Avengers and a super-modified Jaguar in the New Avengers.

Steed's first car, the green 20's era Bentley was named Fritz. The second one, the white one, was a Rolls also from the 20's but I don't remember it ever having a name. Also on the matter of Steed's partners I seem to remember that Honor Blackman played Steed's first partner before Diana Rigg. That's Honor Blackman of the Bond movie fame. Does anyone remember these: (1) What kind of car did Mrs. Peel drive? (2) Why did "Mrs. Peel" leave the service. (3) What was Mrs. Peel's maiden name? (4) What did her father do for a living? (5) What was Steed's rank and branch of service?
