[comp.binaries.ibm.pc.d] v01i188: pak, archive utility v1.6

PAK16.EXE failed to unpack itself properly on my PC (an AT&T 6300 PLUS).
It uudecoded fine, but the unpacker complained about missing bytes in
the executable. My machine hung when it finished, ("system error -
COMMAND.COM halted", or something like that), and required a reboot.
I'm not really worried about a virus; the system files checked OK
against my reference copy.

Does anybody have a successful unpacking? Thanks in advance.

See if the last line of uuencode in part 1 has a spurious newline. All
lines of uuencode (except the last line in the last part) should be the
same length. I had trouble till I fixed that - thanks to a shy colleague.
