Captain Nice was vaguely described by another trivia freak, so I thought I'd post the details... Carter Nash discovered a potion that made him super-powerful. The first time he went out in public, someone noticed the CN monogram on his belt, so he made up the name Captain Nice. CN was played by veteran actor William Daniels, (you may remember him as Ben Franklin in "1776"). Captain Nice was a nerd that still lived at home with his parents - as I remember, he was a cross between Batman and Maxwell Smart, bumbling his way through every episode. no no no no no William Daniels was John Adams in 1776, and has appeared in numerous TV series since then. Trivia: in The Adams Chronicals on PBS a few years ago, he played John Quincy Adams. Like father, like son????

Please allow one trivial correction: William Daniels played the part of John Adams, not Ben Franklin, in "1776". Franklin was played by the same veteran actor who played Nikita Krusciev (sp?) in "The Missles of October", whose name escapes me. By the way, does anyone remember who played Thomas Jefferson in "1776"? He later starred in a short running t.v. drama.

Ken Howard, who also played TJ on broadway, starred in Adam's Rib with Blyth Danner (Mrs. Jefferson in the play and movie). The show was a direct steal from the Tracy-Hepburn movie, even doing several of the events with only minor dialogue changes. Of course, everyone knows that Howard was later The White Shadow. He was also the Manhunter, another short lived one. Anyone know who was in the pilot?
