[comp.binaries.ibm.pc.d] PC Moria 4.873.

drk@athena.mit.edu (David R Kohr) (04/28/89)

Several months ago, someone (bee@cs.purdue.edu) offered to send out
copies of PC Moria v.4.873 to anyone who wanted it. "bee" hasn't
yet done this, but did indicate that there were a large number of
replies to the offer. Would it be possible to re-post PC Moria 4.873
in comp.binaries.ibm.pc, in light of the fact that demand for
the program seems to be very high?

Yes, I did offer that, but as of this date I have received over 100
requests for PC Moria 4.873. That is an excessive load to put on the
net to mail out that many copies of something as large as PC Moria. I
recently mailed to the comp.binaries.ibm.pc moderator asking for a
repost, but his reply was that because of the high volume of material
going thru c.b.i.p, he didn't feel that a repost could be justified.
However, Jim Wilson has just recently posted on rec.games.moria that
it is available by anon FTP from swan.ulowll.edu, which gives one way
to get to it. And unless someone objects, I will post it myself to
rec.games.moria in a few days. Then if anyone still does not have a
copy, I will email it to them. (Hopefully this will be a small number
of people.) I am truly sorry that I am unable to mail it out to
everyone as I promised.
