I'm looking for a version of the popular UN*X software tool 'lex', a lexical analyzer generator, that will run on the PC. I've seen the version put out by DEC Users' Society, but that one isn't completely compatible. Can someone point me in the right direction? I do have access to anonymous FTP, and am running DOS 3.3 on a PClone. Please reply via e-mail. Thanks! ///////// Disclaimer: No express or implied warranties given. \\\\\\\\ ////// * Eric J. I've seen the version put out Thought this may be of general interest .. flex (free lex) was posted to comp.sources volume 14 and patches to get flex to work under DOS were posted here not too long ago. I will email patches if you are interested (about 5K I think). I have not personally used flex so I cannot comment. If you need patches please give me a good email address (problems resolving Internet domains here). alan -- =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Alan Strassberg UUCP: alan@oetl ..{leadsv,pyramid}!oetl!alan Lockheed, Santa Cruz, Ca. work (408) 425-6139 =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
