] utilities, games, or other neat stuff)? If so please e-mail - this
] would be an immense help. Remember, this is the Turbo C version, I do
] not have MicroSoft C at present, so I cannot verify that it works with
] that as well. For fast release, I need these things quickly.

I would be very interested in everyone's hacks and fixes.
Since Bjorn Larsson is claiming that his PCCurses is now in the public
domain, I will be making one (1) release to the public domain. After
that, my copy of the sources will be withdrawn from the public domain.
(Please don't post, email your comments about this.)

This release will be back to Bjorn Larsson. (Bjorn, can you
read this and email me?)

] For possible future release:
]
] 1) Has anyone else modified or enhanced PC Curses since the 17 Oct 87
] release (that's the date on Michael Ewan's README.TOO file in the
] package - Bjorn Larsson's release date of the MSoft C V4 version
] appears to be 24 Aug 87)? Perhaps we can produce a coordinated
] release, please e-mail.

Bjorn Larsson's internal comments indicate the followingn
releases and dates:
		1.0	870515	Release.
1.1	880306	Revision string in code.
1.2	881002	Rcsid[] string for maintenance.
		1.3	881005	MSC -W3, Turbo C -w -w-pro checks.

In addition, I have put the source into RCS, and my revisions
are 1.3.1.x. I have also put Bjorn's manual (such as it is) into
proff. I am in theprocess of combining this with a copy of the 4.3
BSD manual from our latest upgrade. This is also in proff.

Does anyone have any idea about releasing this revised manual
to the world?

]
] 2) Has anyone added EGA/VGA support?

	I have EGA/VGA/MCGA/MDA/CGA support. I can support 8, 14, and
16 point text fonts, as well as a reasonable text attribute mechanism
for both color and monochrome monitors (there is very little
difference, but it is available for personal tailoring;-). I also
have added other small hacks such as window titles. and an expanded
CURSES.H which moves much of the stdscr routines into macros rather
than forming the overhead of individual routines.

] 3) Perhaps an MSoft C wizard could step forward to help bring forth a
] compatible, transportable version.

See the information from item 1), (I have access to 5.1) but I
have not tested it yet.

I would be glad to port it to Microsoft C 5.1. I have had Microsoft C 5.1 for DOS and OS/2 since they were first released over a year ago; plus another 18 months of experience with Microsoft C 4.0.

Sorry, did I miss something? I was under the impression that PCCurses worked already
under MSC 5.1. If not, I'll be gald to post whatever I did back when to get it
running here with that compiler. I seem to recall mailing patches to the author at
some point.
