This was one of my favorites. I loved watching the glass hand and then see him put the glove over it and it became real. I believe the story was that the aliens knew he knew where the humans were, but they didn't know he was carring them. He didn't know that he was an android untill he had all the fingers and the hand told him. Remenber his girlfriend? But they (his creators sent him back in time so he could live and lose himself untill they needed him. The humans had made the planet uninhabitable for 200 years and only an android could survied(sp?) that time. The aliens planet was dieing also and the machine wasn't working right to get them back in time. I believe that once he destroyed the machine the aliens could not come looking for him anymore and since the earth of the furture was dead the aliens couldn't do a whole lot except die. Thus Clup would just wait for the time when he would free the humans he carried within him. A sad and lonely existence as the end of it stated. M.J.Hauck
