[comp.binaries.ibm.pc.d] Help using Brik script

A couple of months ago, someone posted a script to simplify using BRIK.
It went something like this:

  #!/bin/csh
  foreach file ( ${argv[2-]} )
  $1 $file
  end

I have tried this, and variations of it, but haven't been able to get
it to work.  Can someone tell me why it doesn't work?  Also, how
can it be enhanced so that if the files check out OK with brik, it will
automatically combine the various parts?  Thanks in advance.
