Hi everybody, I built the vi editor from the sources. But the screen updates are not satisfactory. I mean when it go to the last line of a page (24 in first) it starts up scoling in that line. I have to type <ctrl> L to get the real screen. When I went through the documentation I found out about a driver called nansi.sys required to run this program. I don't have such a device driver. Is there anyway I can get a copy of that. Perhaps somebody may be able to mail it. That would be grate provided it is in the public domain. Apart from that stevie is grate. It has got everything in **ix vi. All modes, including set number. Cheers! Athula

I am a PC user also. I would love to use same editors on both Unix and PC. Is there any way I could get your copy for PC, that is if you do plan to post it on NOTES or on any BBS. Thanks

You should be able to use NNANSI.SYS, an "improved" version of nansi.sys that has just appeared in .. this news group, as long as you have an EGA or better display. (The program has #lines detect logic that does not work in adapters prior to EGA). Tom Almy toma@tekgvs.labs.tek.com Standard Disclaimers Don't Apply (I did the "improvements")

Does anyone know if a Hercules graphics compatible version of the nansi.sys console driver exists? Thanks in advance. M Volow, VA Medical Center, Durham, NC 27705 mvolo@ecsvax.UUCP 919 286 0411
