Sorry to take so long to summarize the results. It appears that Roger Ramjet was syndicated in about 1966-1967. He appeared all over the country on afternoon "Popeye type" kiddie shows. However, it is certain that he was NOT on the Popeye show in Youngstown, Ohio, and probably was missing from lots of others too. Hence the assumption of syndication (e.g. they sold him to whatever TV stations wanted to buy him, like Hee-Haw). I can't remember whether I read it in this newsgroup or someone told me, but I seem to remember a recent claim that Ramjet's voice was done by Gary Owens.
