When discussing cartoons & cartoonists with a friend, I remembered a cartoonist who appeared in Dick Tracy. He did a strip called "Sawdust." These appeared as nested cartoons in the Tracy strip. The cartoons consisted of piles of sawdust in which individual dust motes (or perhaps piles of sawdust) would carry on conversations. Does anyone else remember "Sawdust?" Are there other examples of nested cartoons? What was the cartoonist's name? ( I think he signed his strip as T.N.T. [inside a little explosion].) What was his relationship to other characters in the strip. (I think he may have been married to Sparkle Plenty - am I crazy? This was around the time that the Plenty's got a brand new kitchen with porcelain covered appliances, a big move up in their lives.)
