SIMTEL30.ARC SIMTEL20 catalog viewer v3.0, more added features
WHAT'S NEW IN Version 3.0
a. The catalog date is now displayed on the screen so that
you know how up-to-date your current catalog is.
b. The current topic, catalog viewing order and disk output
file name are displayed for your convenience.
c. The ability to create an ASCII text output file. Then
at any time during the program operation you may use the
F1 key to send the current catalog selection to the
output file. This allows you to edit the file later
with a text editor for your own purposes.
d. You can now send the report to a disk file or the
printer. You specify the disk file name and it is
redirected to the named file.
e. You can now pop-up a menu of all the SIMTEL20
directories for viewing. You can also select a
directory and jump right to the start of that directory.
This allows quick moving around in the catalog.
g. The Search function now includes pseudo-wildcard
capability. You may specify the exact file name such as
ZMODEM.ARC or ZMOD* to find the first file matching the
ZMOD characters.
h. The Examine function now allows you to Search as well,
without having to quit, search and then examine again.
The F3 key will perform this.
i. You may now optionally load the file NODESCR.IDX in
addition to the usual SIMIBM.IDX. You will be asked
during the update to select the extra or not. It is
your choice.
j. The program returns your screen color settings to their
original setting prior to running the program.
