[--forwarded message--] From: Gisbert W.Selke <RECK%DBNUAMA1.BITNET@CUNYVM.CUNY.EDU> I have uploaded the following file to SIMTEL20: <msdos.filutl> XLAT10.ARC Fast configurable byte-byte translation The Xlat 1.0 package is for byte-to-byte translation of files. It does not purport to be highly original, as far as the idea is concerned; however, it is fast, it is small (one cluster on a hard disk for each type of translation, including the inverse mapping), and it is configurable in a full-screen fashion or from independently produced translation tables. It comes with 5 sample files, documentation, and complete sources. And it's free. \Gisbert Gisbert W.Selke Ermekeilstrasse 28 D-5300 Bonn 1 West Germany <RECK@DBNUAMA1.BITNET> (soon to go away) (If necessary, try c/o UPP101@DBNRHRZ1.BITNET) --- Thanks, Gisbert! --Keith
