[comp.binaries.ibm.pc.d] TETRIS for PC

c188-bc@cordelia.uucp (Eric) (11/09/89)

Recent talk has alluded to the fact that there is a pirated
version of TETRIS going around (in fact, there is, because I've
seen it available on many bulletin board systems).

Well, one of the many hybrids, EGAINT, is available free,
as in gratis (it's distributed under the GNU General Public
License). The author wants no money...if one feels like they
should shell out some cash, he suggests that they donate it
to a worthwhile charity, such as the Red Cross.

Rumor has it that the author was working on allowing users to
load GIF-format images into the background, something which is
mildly more attractive than those low-resolution caricatures
of the Soviet Union.

You can get it at grape.ecs.clarkson.edu in the bin4 directory
or by calling The Odyssey at (201) 984-6574 (more recent
versions are available via the latter...tell them Eric sent
you).
