Well, I got about 3 answers to the George Spigot question. Nobody got any wrong answers, but nobody knew the answers to all 8, either. Also, no one, including myself, knew what year the movie came out. Guesses revolved around 1968, which must be pretty close. Here now are the questions with answers: A movie came out some time ago. One of the two main characters was called George Spigot. Answer the following questions: 1. What was the name of the movie? "Bedazzled" 2. Who played George Spigot? Peter Cook 3. What now-famous actor played the other male lead? Dudley Moore 4. Who was George Spigot REALLY? Satan/The Devil 5. What were the two lead actors known as, as a group? "Beyond the Fringe" 6. Who played Lust? Racquel Welch 7. What year did the movie come out? (I don't know this myself) ??? 8. The actor who played George Spigot was recently a regular in a TV series. What series? "The Two of Us" -Glenn R. Wichman -...!fortune!grw

Reply-To: darrelj@sdcvax.uucp (Darrel VanBuer) Organization: System Development Corp. (A Burroughs Company) References: <fortune.897> The TV Movie Book (Leonard Maltin, ed.) lists Bedazzled as being produced in 1967, running 107 min in color. Director Stanley Donen. Starring Peter Cook, Dudley Moore, Eleanor Bron, Raquel Welch and Alba. Given 3 stars. Cult film updating Faust legend is as sacrilegious as THE SINGING NUN and usually funnier. The laguhs aren't always consistent, but the Cook-Moore team is good and Donen's direction stylish.
