I am attempting to write a program that will allow me to access a 16 sector 160 track soft sectored 5 1/4" disk. The DOS Bios routines that I'm using (Function 44H) always return the information block in the form of a far pointer DS:DX and I'm having a real hard time accessing the data. Does anyone out there know of some code that I may be able to use that will reformat the controller so I can read this disk? I'm real tired of beating my head against the wall and besides, I'm getting a bad headache!! (please e-mail responses to me, I don't read this group much) Thanks, Glenn Pitcher UUCP: {crash, ucsd}!edpmgt!gpitcher Programmer/Analyst & ARPA: Too many $$$ Unix Guru in training BITNET: A net for runaway programs EDP Management, Inc. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- -- Glenn Pitcher UUCP: {crash, ucsd}!edpmgt!gpitcher Programmer/Analyst & ARPA: Too many $$$ Unix Guru in training BITNET: A net for runaway programs EDP Management, Inc. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
