Tue 5-Dec-89: Obtained progref1.zip and progref2.zip. They are very impressive DOS technical references by Dave Williams. And they make a nice complement to the well-known inter589.arc reference by Ralf Brown. All these files are available by anonymous ftp from our site, and they are located in the /pc/pd2 directory. ................................................................... SIMTEL20 already has a more up-to-date version as PD1:<MSDOS.SYSUTL>1216REF2.ARC (the progref?.zip on chyde is 9/28/88, 1216ref2 is 12/16/88). BTW, large portions of the interrupt listing in the above were lifted verbatim (with a little reformatting) from an earlier version of the interrupt list I maintain (most likely INTER388 or INTER488). I just wish Mr. Williams had given more credit than lumping "INTERRUP.ARC" together on one line with several other BBS-distributed files.... -- {backbone}!cs.cmu.edu!ralf ARPA: RALF@CS.CMU.EDU FIDO: Ralf Brown 1:129/46 BITnet: RALF%CS.CMU.EDU@CMUCCVMA AT&Tnet: (412)268-3053 (school) FAX: ask DISCLAIMER? | _How_to_Prove_It_ by Dana Angluin 9. proof by funding: What's that?| How could three different government agencies be wrong?

That file has been deleted because it is an older version of the one below, which you may wish to get from SIMTEL20: <msdos.sysutl> 1216REF2.ARC 268K 11-09-89 List of interrupts, memory locations,I/O ports --Keith

Yes, Keith Petersen was already kind enough to let me know of the more recent version, and it is now available on chyde.uwasa.fi as well. It is in directory /pc/pd2. Thanks for informing me. I am not familiar with the history, but the principle is always clear. It is to "give credit where credit is due." ...................................................................
