So, what did Barney Rubble do for a living anyway? Joe

Organization: System Development Corp. (a Burroughs Company) Barney Rubble worked at the quarry with Fred. This is what the waiter at the restaurant I was at last night told me. Actually, I suspect that Barney worked at the same place Ozzie Nelson did.

In some episodes, Barney worked with Fred. In others, he had a different job. Unfortunately, I don't remember what that job was (there may have even been more than one). -Ronen Barzel

You are all wrong. While it is true that Barney and Fred did not originally work in the same place (and I don't recall where he did work) he was fired from his job. At Wilma's instigation, Fred took Barney to the Rock pit to try to get him a job. I don't remember how long that job lasted either, but there were at least a few days that both Barney and Fred worked at the same place. (interesting english "the Ozzie Nelson", "and Fred ROAD to work". hiss.)

If Barney Rubble did not work at the quarry with Fred Flintstone, then how come they had lunch together under the dinosaur????? Did Barney have a longer lunch hour than Fred had, and so had the time to come visit his friend at his place of work? Nah.

It is also true that Fred and Barney did work together at various times. For example how many people remember when they operated a drive-in stand: And the classic song that it had in it. Here we come on the run with a burger and a bun and a slab of cole slaw on the side. Oh you taste, we will tickle with a cold dill pickle. And all of our potatoes are french, fried, fried, fried. Our burgers can't be beat, 'cause we grind our own meat grind, grind, grind, grind grind. When you drive away, a tip apon the tray. We hope to find, find, find, find find. This may have been asked before, but how many people remember the middle lyric in the opening song. The one after, "Let's ride, with the family down the street." Think about it, OZ seismo!rlgvax!oz
