[comp.binaries.ibm.pc.d] LIST72A

SGREEN@umiami.miami.edu (Steven M. Green) (12/28/89)

V. Buerg's LIST72A downloaded from SIMTEL20 is not running properly on my
system. Neither the Regular nor the Plus version is giving me access to the
upper window after invoking the split screen using Alt-W, then attempting to
scroll or otherwise manipulate it after entering Ctrl-V to switch to the
alternate window.

In the regular version, I get a Beep as if that function is not available, and
in the Plus version, no Beep is heard. In both, the scrolling function or
other commands still affect only the lower window after one or more Ctrl-V's.

In order to help isolate whether I am suffering from some hardware or TSR
incompatibility problem or whether the problem is a bug in this new version,
please let me know if it works for you.

My system is the Mitsubishi-built PC clone sold both as the Sperry PC-HT and
the Leading Edge Model M running Mitsubishi's MS-DOS v3.2 and with a ROM-BIOS
ver. 3.5 (also Mitsubishi). The only other component that might be hardware
incompatible (based on past experience) is the video card: Genoa Spectrum 5600,
a board which gives Hercules emulation and CGA emulation (at monochrome
resolution) on a monochrome monitor. Since I experienced this
non-functionality in all video modes, the Genoa is probably not the culprit
(this time!).

Thank you. The best way to reply is to my bitnet address:SGREEN@UMIAMI.
