[comp.binaries.ibm.pc.d] Is there a monthly posting or what?

brian@t2ns1.gcs.co.nz (01/04/90)

Hi all,

Excuse my naive question, but, once I have my binary saved to disk,
what do I do with it? Same procedures for the other groups? (ie
mac, atari)

Are there certain procedures to follow for it's portability from
our UNIX box to DOS? (We have a 386 with concurrent DOS/UNIX so I
tried it's "unix2dos" and saved both a converted file and the raw file
from unix onto a floppy.)

An associate knowledgeable in DOS attempted in vain to get it to
work on his 286. "To big to fit in memory"? which also occurred on
our 386 which has 12 meg of memory.

To put it simply, I don't know what to do.

Is there a monthly "instruction" posting? (Only just started to get
this newsgroup). If there isn't, perhaps someone in the know could
volunteer to do it.

Yours unknowingly, Brian.
