I've tried about 3 or 4 different ways to ftp pd1:<msdos.statistics>pdswstat.arc from simtel20, and each time I find that the arc file has a problem when I download it to my PC. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a problem with the file? Or should I be using a different 'type' command? I've tried both ascii and tenex. And is there a program to do a directory on an .arc file from a unix machine, so I can check before I download? -Dan db@tcgould.tn.cornell.edu

Try arc -v pdswstat If your machine does not have arc installed, I think the sources are available via anonymous ftp from uunet.uu.net. ....Paul F -- Paul Frattaroli - Department of Computing Services University of Waterloo Waterloo, Ontario Canada N2L-3G1 < pfratar@watshine.UWaterloo.ca > < pfratar@watserv1.UWaterloo.ca > --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
