Yesterday I downloaded SYSID47.ZIP from chyde.uwasa.fi. I was amazed to see all that it told me about my system. However, when I got to the 9th screen, it locked up my system, with the cursor on the line about number of buffers. Also, if I go directly to the last screen and work backwards, it works until it gets to screen 9. But in the parts about partitions and boot blocks it seems to not be able to decipher my system. I am running a no-name 386 with AMI bios, Dos 4.01, 80mb hard disk with one large partition, HIMEM.SYS, EMM386.SYS, and SmartDrive that came with Windows/286 2.1. I think I have buffers=12. -- John Dudeck "You want to read the code closely..." jdudeck@Polyslo.CalPoly.Edu -- C.
