Gee, I guess that they didn't send me patches the two times I have had
problems! The last time they sent me a patch was because I was having
problems with a network drive. While Microsoft can be a bit unresponsive
at times, most of the time they solve the problem. I think that word is
one of the best word processers just short of true WYSIWYG.

YES! I've had the same problem. I thought it was the mouse driver, since
microsoft provided a new driver with the new version of Word, but it didn't
work with my Logitech Mouse. I have a Zenith Vga card. Please would someone
send me a solution to this problem if anyone discovers one?
  Thanks.

If you think WORD5 is great, wait til you get a load of Word for
Windows. I just finished a book describing Word for Windows and it
looks like a hell of a piece of software.

What worked for me like a charm was switching from Logitech drivers version 3,4
to Logitech drivers version 4.0x. I have not had any video problems since.

If you have EGA or VGA video, a Logitech mouse with drivers earlier than
version 4.0, I suggest you talk to the Logitech people about an upgrade.

I was having similar problems with my Logitech mouse. The Microsoft Tech
Support people told me that Logitech had a new driver for Word 5.0, and that
I could get it from the Logitech BBS, (415)795-0408. I downloaded it, and
that solved most of my problems.

Incidentally, I use Bernoulli drives, and I discovered that Iomega also
has a BBS with their latest drivers posted, (801)778-4400. I downloaded
the latest versions of their drivers, and they worked faster, without some
hanging up problems that I had been experiencing.
