Hello I have an ATI Graphics wonder video card, which is capable of displaying both CGA and Hercules on any monitor. It also features an extra graphics mode known as Plantronics, which is an extension to CGA and features 16 colors in 320x200 mode. In Holland, a LOT of PC's with this video card are sold, and several dutch programs support this mode. I was told there is a GIF viewer somewhere out there, but I've been unable to locate it. I have an ATI card that has these modes. It also has (in addition to waht you
mention above) a 640x200 16 color mode. I wrote a program which uses this
mode, but it could easily be modified to use the 320x200 mode. It also has a
number of viewing modes, including a (slow displaying) mode which dithers VGA
GIF's to 16 colors. It works fine, but I intend to clean it up in the future
(during that elusive "free time" I keep on reserving for such things). I
tried to e-mail you, but the address bounced. If anyone else wants a (free)
GIF viewer which uses Plantronics modes, especially the ATI Graphics
Solution/Wonder card, e-mail me.
