Wilson, Windows 386 comes with two drivers, one that gives you 640 x 480 and gives you that error, and one that is 640 x 450 that doesn't. Microsoft blewit. One solution is Windows Color, it ups the colors to 16 available on a VGA (instead of 8) and seemed to fix the problem for me. It's a replacement device driver for VGA in windows. You can get it through most mail order houses for about $25. Those extra 8 colors make a world of difference. Keith delong@frith.egr.msu.edu Delta College
