I have just downloaded the ZMODEM source files RZ, SZ.C from SIMTEL, to compare their speed with KERMIT for transferring files between my PC and a VAX running VMS. I compiled the programs on the VAX OK, and managed to get transfers from the VAX to the PC to work fine. However, transfers the other way do not usually work. Using rz -b at the VAX end, and dsz sz -b filename at the PC end, I got one file to work OK, but others would not work at all, and kept giving me "GOT ZRPOS" messages. The only difference I could see between the file that worked and the files that did not was that in the file that worked OK, lines were separated with only a 0AH. In the others, there was a CR/LF pair. What am I doing wrong? Either post any replies, or if enough people send e-mail, I'll post a summary. Thanks. Richard Stanton
