Richard, If you find the answers to these dilemnas I'd be interested in knowing too (partly out of self defense, mind you). MS-DOS Kermit 3.00 does send an XOFF to the host if "forking to DOS" (RUN or PUSH commands) and if flow control is XON/XOFF. When it does so the serial port interrupts etc are returned so another comms program can use the port, even another copy of Kermit. If some of the other programs can record the serial port chatter, in the manner of a Kermit log, that would help a lot in understanding who did what to whom and when. Since I don't run these "other" programs the user community is needed to help sort out the affair. Please be sure its the distribution v3.00 and none of the beta test series. Joe D.
