The only reliable source I know of for mouse programming information is "Microsoft Mouse Programmer's Reference" from Microsoft Press. It's normally $29.95 but it comes with a disk. The thing I like about it is that the example code is provided in virtually any common language you may be using. Alas, it does not address issues concerning some of the other mouse manufacturers. You should be in good shape with this info though, because, as I understand it, most other mice pretty much adhere to Microsoft mouse compatibility. I have no personal interest in pushing this book. I simply use it myself on a regular basis. It does the job for me and maybe it will for you. Hope you find what you need. -- Frederick F. I want to write some mouse routines that will work under DOS (yech) or Minix. I can't use any of the DOS BIOS routines, because they aren't interrupt driven. I have to talk to the mouse hardware directly. Microsoft $%^@&*(#!{])= didn't include any of this very important information in the book, "Microsoft Mouse Programmers Reference". If anybody has this information, will you please e-mail it to me. If anything good comes, I can summarize to both of the above newsgroups. Kenneth J.
