To answer this question we must go back to at least 1970 - since back to then it was either a Yankee team or Oakland team (with Jackson) or a national league team that won the series. I believe it was (starting with '82 and going back) Cards over Brewers Dodgers over Yanks Phillies over Royals Pirates over Orioles Yanks over Dodgers Yanks over Dodgers Reds over Yanks Reds over Red Sox Reds over Oakland (?) Mets over ? Oakland over ? ? over Mets (?) ? over Tigers Mets over ? from '68 back I get a little fuzzy. Didn't the red sox make the series (and lost I think) in Yaz's triple crown year? Then I think the orioles and Dodgers went at it circa '66 or '67 and the Orioles won. So my guess is Orioles over Dodgers circa '66 or '67. Ira Idelson American Bell
