[comp.binaries.ibm.pc.d] PS/2 Boot up

David.Webber@blkcat.fidonet.org (David Webber) (02/20/90)

Yes, I've seen lots of this, 601 and 901 are also favourite. I've found
just hitting F1 key causes machine to carry on regardless. I think
301 is either something with the keyboard, or the diskette drive. The
old XT had a dog of a keyboard connector, I can't recall what the PS/2
one is like vis its attachment to the motherboard. Likewise the 1.44mb
drives, they seem to be on the edge of the technology, i.e. if weather
is hot and day of week has a T in it will work better/worse!

Anyway press F1 and don't worry about it until you press F1 and the
@#$PS/2 still won't boot!

why do people buy these things from IBM anyway?

                        Gungadin.

POST error 301 is a "keyboard stuck" error, meaning that a key is being held
down for some unbeknownst reason.
