ts@uwasa.fi (Timo Salmi LASK) (02/25/90)
Dear Fellow Netters, Please don't get me wrong, if I suggest a judicious selection of the newsgroup to post to. Lately there have been a number of postings that would probably get more relevant feedback if posted in a more appropriate group than here in c.b.i.p.d. Examples are discussions on programs which are fully commercial, and where neither the binaries nor the shareware and PD ftp sites have nothing to offer. Or discussions and arguing about such specialized Unix features which have nothing whatsoever to do with transferring, unpacking, or decoding PC files or anything related. Please let me emphasize, that I am not flaming anyone, just pointing out that everyone gains if we choose the target newsgroup with the contents and the audience in mind. Nor am I claiming to be innocent myself. Don't let this curb the flow of information that is beneficial to this newsgroup. All the best, Timo ...................................................................
