When sent a 'clear to end of screen' escape sequence (^[[J), the screen from the cursor down is cleared ok, but the line the cursor is on is cleared to black instead of the background color as selected in the Configure window. A way around this is to send ^[[J^[[K which clears the rest of the screen first (the cursor line becomes black) and then the rest of the current line (which does use the correct background color). This causes the cursor line to flicker once, but at least the screen looks ok. When you use a black background, everything is ok, but I like a blue background.
