Tue 10-Apr-90: Came upon a screen speed-up program which might be quite useful, that is (/pc/pd2/)thefast6.zip. It is inevitable that in using a PC something has to be the bottleneck. Since the advent of 386 and fast hard disks it seldom is the processor or the disk access any more, and lately I have noticed that the video adapter (especially if 8-bit) is the problem. The way it shows is that the cursor movement is not at par with the other parts of the PC. It will be interesting to see if this program provides a temporary respite, and whether there are side effects.
