I have uploaded KYSS361D.ZIP to SIMTEL20. KYSS361D.ZIP is intended to replace KYSS341.ARC, currently in the SIMTEL20 PD1:<MSDOS.MENU> directory. The following is a short description of the product. For the record, I'm one of the authors. Thanx... Gene KYSS! III High-Performance Menu System & File Manager KYSS! III is a menu-based front end and utility package for per- sonal computers and LAN workstations. Used as a DOS shell, KYSS! III provides a powerful and easy-to-use operator interface for office automation systems. It effectively isolates end-users from the complexities of operating system commands and batch processes. Capabilities of KYSS! III include: automatic menu generation from ASCII text files using simplified KYSS! III command structure; multiple levels of help; prompted operator entry into job streams; either resident or non-resident operation; password protection at either the menu or process level; job tracking for system utilization analysis or billing purposes; disk file and directory management; plus a convenient built-in text editor. How to Install KYSS! III The demo copy of KYSS! III is fully-implemented and contains an on-line manual to help you do your own custom installation. Please notice the use restrictions that apply to this evaluation copy. You will need an IBM PC-compatible microcomputer with 256K RAM and a hard disk drive having at least 600K bytes of disk storage space available. Please enter the following commands from the DOS C:> prompt: C: (log to hard disk drive C:) MD C:\KYSS3 (make demo directory) CD C:\KYSS3 (log to demo directory) PKUNZIP KYSS361D (extract files from archive) KYSS (execute KYSS.BAT file) The informational menus contain detailed instructions for implementing KYSS! III in your working environment and creating your own custom menu system. PKUNZIP may be obtained from any major BBS or from the IP BBS (See below). In order to keep download times reasonable, some KYSS! utilities are not included in the demo archive. You may obtain the file, KYSS361U.ZIP from the same source where you obtained the demo or from the IP BBS @ (614) 366-5635. Extract KYSS361U from Drive A: into your \KYSS3 directory in the same manner as with the program itself.
