About a year ago, SWAP, a DOS T&SR utility written by Nico Mak of Mansfield Software which swapped things out of conventional memory into EMS or to the hard disk, was posted to comp.binaries.ibm.pc newsgroup. A little later, Nico gave me an updated version which also swapped things out to XMS memory, which I posted (binary only, no source) to c.b.i.p. A month or so ago, someone reported a problem with that SWAP, which I forewarded to Nico. He informed me (the point of this message) that the reported problem was fixed in the latest version of SWAP: "I made some significant enhancements to SWAP, so that that it will swap multiple programs (even TSRs), and licensed the enhanced version to Innovative Data Concepts, who released it a shareware program called SWAPDOS. IDC is handling all marketing, support, etc (and getting most of what little money involved)." However, Nico said that he'd still be interested in any bug reports and comments about all versions of SWAP. Nico can be reached on Compu$erve at 70056.241@compuserve.com.
