[comp.binaries.ibm.pc.d] Mouse and Internal Modem

Sorry, if this has been asked thousand times already.
I recently installed an internal modem which is running in COM1. I bought
the new logitech serial mouse, and when I try to install it, the program
tells me that my computer is not receiving any signal from the mouse. I
guess this is because both the modem and the mouse are trying to use the
same COM port and it only accepts one of them, the modem. How have other
people solved this? With my IO card I received some utilities that are
supposed to create drivers for COM3 and COM4, but I'm not sure the mouse
would run with them. I tried to make the modem run with them and I couldn't
do it. Do I have to give away my mouse and buy a BUS one? Any help you
can give me will be greatly appreciated. It's been very frustrating
to fiddle around with the ports without any luck. Thanks in advance.
