[comp.binaries.ibm.pc.d] ms_sh162 utilities -- parts 08 to 13 corrupted

mlord@bwdls58.UUCP (Mark Lord) (08/02/90)

Much appreciation to the moderator for reposting parts 03 to 07.

BUT !!!

Now that I have the whole thing, I have tried to assemble it into
the original file.. parts 08,09,10,11,12,13 are all missing the
infamous END--cut here-- lines. As well, the final line of each
of these is missing exactly one character. There may also be missing
lines.. who knows.

The end result is.. [on our system here at least] the whole archive
cannot be re-assembled as one again.

Time for a repost of parts 08 through 13 ?

My site has the problem with 09 through 15. Funny they are different, but same

Yup, they sure are missing lines! Here (a leaf off uunet), these files
turn out to be 1/3 their correct length (15K).

Yup.

How about a place where those of us who have ftp access, can get it
that way? I don't feel like checking out which ones are or aren't
corrupted everytime I save an article. It it on simtel somewhere?

These were reposted and I have gotten notes indicating that they were
okay this time at least in the usa and canada. Maybe a check of the path
would be in order now, to see where they are getting hit.

I can keep reposting these, but since people are getting them okay
from uunet, I don't think it will help. I would like to get some of the
backlog off this machine rather than reposting.

All 15 parts have now reached the UK OK (thanks for the repost Bill).
The END line are intact, and all 15 check out 'OK' with brik.
Our feed comes through uunet, so they must have been OK there too.

If anyone in the UK (or the rest of Europe if you can't get it more locally)
wants missing sections, let me know and I'll mail them, or repost on
eunet.sources if several people have missed it.
