To everyone who wanted a summary of my question about finding a C function that did polynomial curvefits... I got a book called _Numerical Recipes in C_, by William H. Press, Brian P. Flannery, Saul A. Teukolsky, and William T. Vetterling. The price is a little under $50 at Waldenbooks. ISBN 0-521-35465-X. You might want to buy the floppy with code on it as there is a LOT of code... I'm having trouble with the curvefit routine so far (trying to figure out what the parameters are for), but hope to get it straightened out soon. The book looks pretty good from a math stand point. Of course, I've only completed Algebra I, so what do I know about this? That's probably why I can't get the curvefit routine working... Anyway, it was reccommended to me by many people, so I assume it is good if you're into numerical stuff in C. The book also comes in C and Pascal versions. It is reccommended by Dr. Dobb's Journal, Byte, Forbes, and more. It has examples of many formulae and examples in C for them. That's 'bout it... Thanks to everyone who replied to this... Greg - If anyone has gotten the curvefit routine to work, PLEASE let me know... I don't know what I'm doing here... My father is helping me on this, but I think we still need some help... Thanks. ---- Greg Montgomery Internet: greg@turbo.atl.ga.us UUCP (smart): greg@turbo.UUCP UUCP (route): {rutgers, ogcise, gatech}!emory!turbo!greg
