Long paths give problems when running SETUP in windows 3.0! 1. If you run initial setup (from DOS) and you allow setup to scan for applications on the disk the system will hang!!!! 2. If you run setup via icon you will get a message about unexpected appl. termination (You know exactly what is wrong - very good hint!). After 3 failed reinstallations I found that the problem is caused by paths being longer then the magic 127 bytes, I create my path by cpath being posted during the weekend. However, it is the only incompatibility I discovered - but they may (should) be more... If you in spite of that had decided to manipulate your path, have in mind that it can indirectly blow out other programs. +-------------------------------------------+ _--~--_ | Roman M.
