The students of the COBOL class that I've been mercilessly assigned to teach have to use a version of WATBOL which resides on the campus' mainframe. Not only is access to this compiler difficult, hardcopies must be sent to a central printer, and the students have to pay for anytime spent on the system. It would be of immense aid to both them and myself if a low-cost COBOL compiler was available for the pc. If you're aware of such a godsend, please reply asap. The class starts next week.
