[comp.binaries.ibm.pc.d] Need help with recent RCS posting.

alanr@tekigm2.MEN.TEK.COM (Alan N Rovner) (09/07/90)

I recently downloaded the RCS package here and am using it to archive a
source file approx 100k in length. I checked in rev 1.0, then 1.1 and
attempted to check in rev 1.2 when the diff program complained about being
out of memory and died.

I have a 386 clone with 2 meg of memory, and was using 386^max at the time.
I tried booting without 386^max and got a slightly different out of memory
message. Does RCS try to keep an image of all revisions needed at that time
in memory? I'm trying to figure this out, but so far no luck.

Thanks as usual for any help,
