At a recent meeting I attended, the author of a shareware statistical package (Scott R. Eliason) distributed his program. I thought that many individuals would appreciate access to the program on the SIMTEL20 archives. I asked the author if he would mind the program being distributed via SIMTEL20 and he said that would be O.K. I have uploaded three ZIP files comprising the CDAS programs for distribution over SIMTEL20. I have varied the one-line descriptions to provide a little additional information on each line: pd1:<msdos.statistics> CDAS1.ZIP Categorical Data Analysis Systems, part 1 of 3 CDAS2.ZIP Eliason's CDAS, Version 3.00A, part 2 of 3 CDAS3.ZIP CDAS for log-linear models, etc., part 3 of 3 In addition, below is an extract from one of the files on disk describing the program: - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - DESCRIPTION OF CDAS VERSION 3.00A The Categorical Data Analysis System (CDAS) was written mainly for analysis of categorical data in a research environment. Most of the programs incorporated into CDAS are programs which have been previously distributed for mainframe and PC use but in a fragmented fashion (eg, C. C. Clogg's ANOAS and MLLSA programs). CDAS Version 3.00A will allow the user to analyze categorical data with log-linear models (both IPF and NR algorithms), analysis of association models, latent class models, RC(M) association models, and purged rates. CDAS Version 3.00A also has its own editor with easy-to-use commands. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Yours, Bev Ross B5R@NIHCU (BITNET) B5R@CU.NIH.GOV (Internet)
