[comp.binaries.ibm.pc.d] Disk Cache and RAM disk utilities

I'm looking for a recommendations for the above. I know about
Vcache from Golden Bow and Super PC-Kwik (both caches). I haven't
seen anything advertised that can also do virtuals disks.

I have a PC AT running at 8/16 Mhz and ~9 meg extended memory, all
as a single RAM disk under DOS. I will be getting a 8/16Mhz 386SX
tower with about 8.5Meg on. I would like to set up a single RAM
disk on this machine too but want to avoid using VDISK. My
application is unique: the machines each control a floppy diskette
duplication machine. I load the disks onto the hard drive and, when
needed, copy them into the RAM disk to speed up the reads and writes.
Depending on the software I'm duping, my speed increase is nil to
15 seconds per disk. The latter is significant when you're duping
a few hundred of this type.

Any help is appreciated. Please respond via email. I will summarize
later.
