[comp.binaries.ibm.pc.d] Looking for GIF--> Color TIFF converter

I was recently talking to a rep from IBM, and he told me he had actually
seen a program to convert GIF files to COLOR TIFF files.

Note that most TIFF files only contain black&white images.  I've only found
programs that convert to B&W TIFF's, such as the excellent GRAFWORKS. 

If anyone has or has heard of such a program, I'd really appreciate
the information.
