[comp.binaries.ibm.pc.d] Context diff program wanted

jablow@pilot.njin.net (Eric Jablow) (10/27/90)

Now that a PC version of Larry Wall's patch has been distributed on
c.b.i.p, does anyone know of a context diff program so we can use it?

You might try the MS-DOS port of GNU diff, which may be found in file
diff114.zoo in any gnudos archive.

The collection of programs known as the GNUish MS-DOS project is
available for ftp at the following addresses:

	vulcan.phyast.pitt.edu [130.49.33.16], in pub/pc/gnudos.
	ocf.berkeley.edu [128.32.184.254], in pub/erc/gnuish-msdos.
	funic.funet.fi [128.214.6.100], in pub/msdos/gnudos.
	wsmr-simtel20.army.mil [26.2.0.74], in pd:<msdos.gnuish>.

Thorsten Ohl <td12@ddagsi3.bitnet> made most of the ports, and
moderates the project.

(having just asked this recently... :-)

GNUDiff does context diffs. I think I found it on SIMTEL.

Insofar as it was recently posted to c.b.i.p (as gnudiff2, I think, and
at just about the same time as patch12), it should also be on any of the
c.b.i.p archive sites (such as wuarchive, for instance).

vol 7 #166 was GNU diff.
