I have released a new version of my FDFORMAT program and uploaded it to SIMTEL20: pd1:<msdos.dskutl> FDFORM16.ZIP Format floppies for greater density/storage Version 1.6 has no new features, but solved a lot of compatibility problems with less compatible XT Computers. Anyway FDFORMAT does still not work on most XT Computers with HD-Drives installed. The TSR part of FDFORMAT, FDREAD 1.31 now automatically detects Memory Managers like QEMM, QRAM, 386MAX and Mov'em and does not to be loaded high in this case. It even uses less memory (128 instead of 224 Bytes) when not loaded high. Of course FDREAD does not require any conventional memory. regards Christoph HAMPE2@DMRHRZ11.BITNET
